My name is Robin. I am a wife. A mom. A daughter. A sister. A friend. A teacher. A hot mess. But my favorite of all, a Joyful Surprise to my Father.
I began writing privately after God stirred my heart in an area of my life I often saw as a weakness. It was a joy filled and intimate time that allowed me His eyes to see what I couldn’t. As I have continued to partner with my Father in writing, it has brought me LIFE filled with more LOVE, more JOY and more FREEDOM. Notice the words capitalized and in italics. Life. Love. Joy. Freedom. I didn’t use the words perfect, easy, painless, or unblemished. Intimacy with my Father does not place me on a pedestal, immune from the fallen world. It places me at the feet of my Father daily, asking for the armor of God to cover me.
Psalm 18:16-19 The Message
But me he caught – reached all the way from sky to sea; he pulled me out Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos, the void in which I was drowning. They hit me when I was down, but God stuck by me. He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved – surprised to be loved!
